Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs & International Cooperation and Chairman of Emirates Foundation, Emirates Foundation will hold the seventh addition of its annual Think Science Fair, the region’s largest science based event for youth; in conjunction with the UAE Innovation Month. The new model of the Think Science Fair will take place in different Emirates during the months of February-March 2019 and aims empower talented youth to actively engage with the digital revolution and provides them with the right platform to innovate and deploy technology to pursue an education and career in science, technology and innovation (STI). At the Think Science Fair, youth aged 15 to 35 from across the UAE will be invited to to design and develop innovative scientific prototypes that addresses existing challenges in their communities for the benefit of the global community through the use of science through the annual Think Science Competition which was set up to explore scientific talents and seeks to encourage creativity and innovation, with an ultimate goal of attracting more youth to work in various fields of science. In addition, leading universities, public and private sector entities that focus on science, technology and manufacturing will exhibit hands on interactive activities with the purpose of encouraging youth to specialize in the fields of science and technology through the “Connect Platform”. Lastly, to instill a positive and sustainable social impact, the fair will also house hands-on activities, engaging workshops, motivational talks and exciting science shows aimed at discovering the scientist within youth. The Dubai chapter of the Think Science Fair will take place on the 17th of February from 9:00AM to 5:00PM where it will be officially hosted by Zayed University.
